Haiku Write

Shortest of the short update: I wrote my most popular haiku to date down on my new, pastel memo cube. If you’re curious and interested in reading my other haikus, go do a search on Twitter – type in ” @reeseypeasy haiku” & be sure to press the “all” tab. :) Or better yet, just order a Today’s Haiku zine from me. 100 pesos each, I ship worldwide! I’m running out of Volume 1 and about to move on to Volume 2, so email me if you want a copy :)

This website is about to undergo a clean-up of some sort, layout wise. Think of it as, volume 3. I’ve been having readability issues for so long due to the small, thin web font I’m using against the subtle, dotted background. It has made me grow less enthusiastic to post lengthy content because seeing the body text strains my eyes. I’m sure they’ve been straining yours too! So yup, I’ve redesigned a much simpler layout for the site, and I can’t wait for everything to be coded by one of my best(est) friends in the world, Sev.

Okay I’m done! <3 Hope you’re all doing well!

Featured: Preview Sept 2014 + Solo Exhibit

I’m late to the party, but I just wanna share with you this really cool Preview September editorial featuring two of my pieces from my Space and the Human Race collection!

This piece is by House of Laurel (read, not mine) but it’s gorgeous and it’s the title page of the editorial, named (aptly), Across the Universe. It was styled and produced by MJ Benitez, coincidentally a college friend of mine with whom I did this very ancient photoshoot.

My rocket dress, mixed with a House of Laurel circle dress. It reminds me so much of Pierre Cardin!

My moon skirt + my funnel neck hoop, styled with a BALENCIAGA JACKET. Really.

Grab the remaining copies of Preview’s September Issue if you can! The issue is hefty and well-worth it!

Something’s gathering…

RL-SeptOctDatesAND SOME IMPORTANT DATES! I’ll be making individual entries for these two upcoming (AND VERY ESSENTIAL) events, but for now, here’s a rundown.

This Sunday, September 28, I’ll be reselling some of my prints and stickers, along with a special DIY zine that I made at BGC Art Mart, 3pm to 9pm. Our table will be somewhere within the High Street area, so please just find me and my purple hair! Everything’s really affordable, and I’m sharing a booth with three of my really good friends from Shutterpanda Photography. It’ll be great fun, so come and visit! I’m eager to share my zine with you guys! Hopefully, it’s something you’ll appreciate HAHA.

AND this next Saturday, October 4, I WILL BE HAVING MY VERY FIRST SOLO EXHIBIT OF MY COLLAGE WORKS. It is a big deal, but I’m trying to contain my excitement within the confines of an all caps sentence. The venue will be at Heima Brixton, Kapitolyo (y’all know Heima, right? The crazy beautiful home and lifestyle store everyone loves) and there will be free food and good music! And I’ll be performing a solo set at the same night! SO YES??? I would really, really appreciate it beyond anything I could ever humanly appreciate if you could come drop by the event and check out my works! The event is free, so might as well right? It starts at 6pm and ends around midnight, so there’s plenty of time to crash.

I hope to see you there! Really <3 Your support would mean so much to me! YAY!

I have a secret journal that you don’t know about. It’s where I make my ~ruminations~ about life, and where I type all the words I won’t ever dare say publicly.

But I guess I’ll let some words slip.

Things of the Week + Tee-Shirt (Birdy Cover)

Socks make me happy, and sheer socks make me ridiculously happy.  Here’s a picture of my feet today, to the small number of people who might be interested. I’m wearing the purple mary janes I bought in Korea last April  + my sheer ribbon socks, also from Korea (the gold mine for socks).  And below my feet is our old and fancy living room rug. Abstract art, I suppose.

I Know Write! (Blogging Workshop)

Hello folks!! I am super proud and excited to share with you this event I’m going to be in tomorrow called “I Know Write”, arranged and made possible by a bunch of super passionate, young teenagers.

I’ll be doing a talk tomorrow about visual blogging, along with Candy Magazine’s EIC Ms. Marla Miniano (my old boss when I interned!) and Nina Pineda, the head of One Direction PH. Come tomorrow at Kuppa Roastery & Cafe at Bonifacio Global City from 2pm – 4pm to hang out and talk about silly things.

Most of all, come to the event and let’s support these youngsters in their passion to bring together like-minded teenagers for meaningful conversations. I have yet to meet the people behind I Know Write, but I’m already so proud of them for the initiative and their capability to pull this off! Good job, kids :D

See you tomorrow!
